John Simmers Sr.

John Simmers Sr. is the Vice President and Chief Estimator. He began his career with Roane’s at just 16. During his 40+ years, Big Johnny has done everything from working in the shop where he cleaned the trucks to his present-day position.

As the master Rigger, John has seen his share of challenging work. “Never say we can’t do it” is his motto. Customers always request him because of his wealth of knowledge and his ability to complete complicated projects with ease.

Robert Farmer

Robert Farmer is Roane’s Safety Director. He has been a focal point at Roane’s for more than 30 years. Bobby began his career working for Doc Roane as a truck driver. His expertise and trainings include: Haz Mat, Crane Safety, Fork Lift, Confined Spaces, and numerous other specialized safety certifications.

Bobby says, “Roane’s taught me a lot of skills, now I can teach others.” And as Safety Director, he not only teaches but inspects job sites for potential safety hazards.

John Simmers Jr.

John Simmers Jr. is the Supervisor and Project Manager. Roane’s has always prided itself on being a family business, Big Johnny and Little John are a prime example. Little John began his career as a Laborer and has worked his way up through the company.

As Roane’s demolition specialist with more than 20 years’ experience, he has the confidence to tackle any job set before him and takes pride in working alongside his father.

Irving Epps

Irving Epps is the carpentry foreman. He has been with Roane’s for over 20 years and brings a wealth of skill to every project. He started out as a truck driver but chose to concentrate on projects that needed decks, drywall services, and crating.

At the end of the day, Irving says he just wants to be able to help on all jobs.
